Abstract

Groove pancreatitis (GP) is a rare form of chronic pancreatitis located in the pancreaticoduodenal groove,
hence its name. It is predominant in males with a history of alcohol intake. Making a differential diagnosis
between this condition and pancreatic cancer is highly relevant given its location. Advances in diagnostic
methods, such as endoscopic ultrasonography, have allowed a more accurate approach. However, no management guidelines are available and therapeutic approaches are still based on similar pathologies.
